This course is for anyone interested in three-dimensional geometric form and working with paper as a base material. Suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced, you will be introduced to the basic principles of paper folding and you will learn all the necessary skills and techniques required to create a range of structures.

All tools and a range of high-quality pre-cut papers will be provided. You will also be introduced to a brief history of folding and the work of several contemporary paper and origami artists to examine how folding is used in fashion, architecture and design.

You will be given the opportunity to explore and develop your own structures and functional pieces and, on completing the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to fold independently and apply your newly acquired skills to your own practice.
